I'm new to the Forum as of today and am glad to join the community! I have been interested in woodworking since Jr. High School (many moons ago) when public schools still had enough funding to offer vocational classes.
Although I've never been in the trades, I know my way around the tool shed and can do most anything that needs to be done given enough time and money and provided that the person I'm working for doesn't want it done quickly AND right. (One maybe, not both!)
I am a collector of antique hand tools in particular and of all tools in general. I've recently begun acquiring some older stationary tools in hopes of building a wood shop that will give me something to do should I be lucky enough to live long enough to retire.
I've been toying with a blog recently in order to chronicle some my experiences in restoring some of the new additions. Please feel free to take a look at

Looking forward to learning a lot from all of the experienced woodworkers here and sharing a bit of my trials along the way!
