With the price of epoxy, the cost of building a boat and the thin margin making it last as long as you can is a must.

The latest installment installing the purfling part 1.
I am so happy it can by installed dry. Next time I'm going to use all wood purfling.

For future referance; place a piece of plastic under the purfling before trimming (helps protect the top).

As your bending the purfling you can rub your finger on the purfling to warm up the tighter sections.

After the purfling is installed, warm the purfling up with a hair dryer. The laminate glue will become pliable and allow some stress relief. After cooling overnight the purfling can be removed one section at a time for gluing.
