Default Outside Violin Fixture

Finished up the drawings for the outside Strad violin fixture this morning.

Due to the finished size, I also made a pattern PDF for 11 x 17" or B size sheets.

Now that the rain has stopped I will be heading out to the shop.

Nice.
I take it you have AutoCAD?
So what does one do with an outside fixture?

Hey Kevin the outside fixture replaces the inside fixture.

The build procedure changes slightly; and the best benifit is no chance of distorting or cracking the corner blocks while removing the inside fixture.

Oh It also looks cool hanging on the wall.

Yes I have AutoCad. It is a tuff program to get a handle on; but the payoff is great.

I've been using AutoCAD since 1995. I have ACAD 2000 that I use at home.
I find it invaluable for designing pieces and doing layout.
I also have CutList Plus for doing cut layouts and costing.

I started on Acad 08, currently running 09 and 2010.

Still trying to knock some sense into my head with Inventor 09.

JJ If you were using Acad I would do the same for you

BTW, more rain is heading your way, and it is some cold chit.

We had to turn the heat on today

To darn cold in the shop to do anything usefull today.

Oh and no cobwebs were found.

The woohooo was for the pictures. I have no need for Acad, now if I did what you do yes.

I know about the rain and we now have a freeze warning to boot.

I have heat in my shop, but like it a little cool.

I have a bad case of yellow jackets at the moment, two to three a day, need to find the nest.
