The Neck angle should be 79 degrees, use a neck angle gauge to check the fit.
The photo referenced is a second angle. This angle should be horizontal (even with) the the back plate tab.
If you mount the belly of the instrument first, then set the neck, some of the neck should extend below the neck block. The excess will be trimmed flush to the neck block
If you mount the back plate before setting the neck the second angle will need to be cut prior to setting the neck. As this is a guess, the proper angle needed is hard to measure.
I would advise mounting the top plate first.
