...who's really into finding and restoring old hand tools. He and I were chatting one evening a few weeks ago when I asked if he happened to have a nice large draw knife. He says "yeah, I've got something that you might would like..." or something similar. Next thing I know I get this big freaking package in the mail and here's what was in it.
A complete work of art! What a beauty! I'm not even sure I can bring myself to use the darned thing.
Thank you Greg!!!

Y'know, it occurs to me that I should have taken a few hi-res pics of it in the photo tent for the website before sending it to you.
You better use it! I didn't restore it to hang on the wall.
Those 3M wheels really do a nice job, don't they? It came out even better than I expected after I cleaned off all the grime. The handles had to be reset also. To be honest, after cleaning it up, it actually crossed my mind to keep it since I have its Big Brother. No, not really.
Yes, the wheels do a nice job, when guided by someone who knows what he's doing as you clearly do... The handles are nice and tight and fit in my hands like they were custom turned just for me. It really is a very nice piece of hand tool and I'll definitely be using it...in fact I'll hone it up tomorrow.

Those Noble draw knives are my favorites. I love how you can adust the angles on the handles to a confortable spot. Find the angle your hands and wrists like and adjust the knife to make your cut.
