Default So! Watchu building???

I need to start on a potting bench with a dry sink. Or so I've been told.

Like this - including a space for those stylish chapeaus.!

Thinking cedar. But only source here is the rough stuff from Home Despot. Redwood is non-existent.

Maybe grab some of the 2x4 or 4x4, resaw it and plane it and see what it looks like.

Whatchu working on?

Looks like a nice project. Cedar is what I would use. All the BORG cedar around here is rough on one side and smooth an the other. It sands and resaws easily so you should have no problem either way. Good luck, be looking forward to the finished pics.

I've been working on multiple projects and it's time to clear a few out.

2 flag cases that I'm waiting on glass for.

The rustic bench, I'm waiting on the custom stain to be delivered.

4 chairs that I just got in for repair.

Recently started building what seems like 100's of jigs in order to build my next project. It's a pretty basic one...

It'll be similar, but I'm drawing my own plans, so I'm making a bunch of tweaks.

Just finished a mobile stand for the DW735..

And I'm still working on a corner desk for the home office. It's been an off and on project for several months.

Left side with the drawers

Right side will be hidden strage for the PC and Printer. All that will be visible on the corner desktop (still to be created) will be the monitor. The keyboard will hide under the desktop on a slide.

That's a 'nice' guitar to copy. You definitely have good taste. Now, if'n you can copy the tone of that Taylor... , I'll be thoroughly impressed !

Have you found the wood for the top & bottom yet ? What are you using fer the sides ? Have 'fun' making ALL them jigs. The good thing is , you'll have 'em when yer done. If that's a consolation...

The top is settled... I'm using some old growth sinker cedar that I scored off of a zone member.

Haven't decided on the sides yet.

Neck will be a laminate with mahogany most likely makin up the bulk of it. Maybe some figured maple down the center if I can find a nice piece. Maybe padauk... maybe not. We'll see...

I have been working on my kitchen.. I finished the top section now I am doing the bottoms.. then I am going to top it off with a granite counter...
I also covered the fridge with the same wood... it's only 1/8' thick glued on... the hardest part was modifying the stock handles... I will post detailed step by step pics when it's all finished..
