Default Sanding jig

I need some help coming up with a sanding jig/platform for a drum sander. Is there some way I can build this platform to ensure that it's fed to the drum at exactly at 90 degrees?

What type of drum sander?

What is the thickness of the wood to be sanded?

performax1632, the wood will be 3/4 thick for my trial runs. Imagina a ring 6" diameter. I want to sand half the ring tapering it to 3/8 at the edge. The sled for the taper is not a problem. Feeding the rings/sled at 90 degrees every time is. I have to have repeatability for this to come out right.

You can attach a fence to the base with 1/8" clearence over the feed belt.
(See drawing) you can open it with MS paint.

make the sled the same size as the height of the fence.

Just a thought.

No, don't have the infeed or outfeed tables. Hopefully I'll be on my home computer tomorrow and can open the file there.
Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the help.
It was just a quick sketch. Hope it helps, I have been thinking about one of them for my drum sander and haven't taken the time to build it yet.
