Default Please critique this sign

To me this was just another cedar sign. I am happy with the results but am always looking for other ideas for improvement. The odd thing about this sign is that the 2 people that saw it both ordered one just like it. Different name of course.

Frankly I'd like to know what I did right with this one.

The proportions are good and the script is fancy but still readable.

And the routed colors are perfect for the cedar finish.

I'm assuming the name and border are painted or stained, and the leave's outlines are the natural endgrain darkness. I think they are a very attractive combination.

Well balanced and easy to read. The finish makes the features stand out in a pleasing way. IMHO

Nice job.

In that script, I think the small "o's" look too much like small "a's" even when you compare it to the "a" in the last name. I'm not a big fan of script on signs, though. Having said that, the sign itself looks good, and there's no substitute for happy customers, or people who want to be customers.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm going to see if I can reproduce the results this weekend.

Question

Is the new one going to be an out door sign?

I think the pot leaf is a nice touch.
