Default The Zone's Woodworking Wiki

Serious question... does everyone know it exists? Where it is and what's is for?

The topic hasn't come up and the it's only a few people who ever edit it or put any articles in it. Anybody need a clarification? Explanation? Tutorial? Etc???

I got a question.
What kind of articles are suitable for it? Just the kind of general woodworking interest or some of the more complete project logs threads we have?

That's just it... anything and everything. Check out wikipedia. Every subject you can imagine has an article.

And if it does not exist you can create it.

It is a resource that just makes life sooooooo much simpler.

The best part: If I can write them anyone can

Joe

And the only reason it seems to be a place for tutorials, etc., is because that's what people have been putting into it.

Hell, we could have an article on table saws. One sanding grits. On workbench design or history. Anything.

And it can be started with just a simple paragraph or two. Then, others can edit those paragraphs or add to them.

Another question:
Does one need to be registered at the forum before being able to post in the wiki?

I am currently working on a historical piece on Jacques-Emile Ruhlmann. When I finish it, I will ask someone smarter than me to help me post it. It is a bit different than a tutorial because of all the footnotes required and all the citations that must be acknowledged.

Thanks for the heads-up. There's a lot of good stuff there that I probably never would have found.
