Default Angie Jolie Litho

Fresh off of the Carvewright. 10 x 8 image of Angelina Jolie. This one is going to a woodworking show as a demonstration of exactly what the machine is capable of.

It is carved on a 10 x 8 x .25 piece of bone colored Corian. Depth of the carve is .175 inches.

Picture 1 is me holding it up to the light. Supervisor is taking the picture.

Picture 2 is a closeup of the litho.

What the heck is that thing stuck to the litho on that first pic? It looks like a twinkie. Wait, that's your shirt!

Hey,

Something has to bring some color to this rather drab day. I'm tired of it being all rainy and cloudy all the time.

Carl and Jim,

On my next attempt, I am going to document everything I did. The Angie image was sent to me by our marketing team, so it was already good to go. All I had to do was load the picture onto a project and then set it up into the machine.

I am also gonna create a new jig for the next image, as the one used for this project was not the best one to use. It was made months ago by a tech who no longer works with the company and it wasn't taken care of very well.

I'll send you guys the info when I get it typed up.

I have been using a 1/4" deep cut region into a 3/4" sled for holding the blank in place with 2-sided box tape.

6" x 6" on one side of the sled and 8" x 10" on the reverse side.

Reduces the amount of sleds required.

Yep. That is how this one is set up, but it wasn't really taken care of. So I am making a new one.

Cool

I have found that drilling a 1/4" hole at each corner helps to remove the plate after carving.
