Default Compound Vase

First you go here and spent a few bucks http://www.scrollerltd.com/prodinfo.asp?number=7687DT

Then you do this.

First picture 7/8" x 1 1/4" x 3 1/2" Walnut Blank need (6). Blank is covered with clear packing tape the the pattern tack glued to that.

Second picture #5 blade drilled holes cut out and cut the Left and Right side then taped the outside edge to hold it all together.

Third picture cut the left side first.

Fourth remove the stock.

Fifth tape a blank onto the back to keep it level for the last cut.

Last picture 1/8" thick 3 1/2" long five more to go.

Looks complicated...

I just took my scrollsaw off my bench so I could use the space for something else. I've had it for 15 or 20 years and used it maybe three times.

Keep posting the progress. Should look good when you're done.

Everything ruff cut still have to cut the insides of the two on the top left. The six sides turn out well very little sanding to do. The sides set in the cog pieces with the base getting that ring you see next to it's cog. May slap the top and bottom on the lath and sand over the edge.

Default Dry Fit

Not bad for something that is 4 1/4" Tall Still have to thin the top ring in the last picture, they said 1/4" thick but the wall tabs tell the story. Anyway I like the dry fit now some sanding in order.

That is way cool...

The first picture looks like a bunch of tiny people bending under the weight of the top ring...
