The Tormek is a slow speed motorized wet grinder produced in Sweden. There are two sizes available internationally. The Tormek 1206, which is a smaller budget priced unit that feature and ABS plastic housing and a 200x40mm aluminum oxide grinding wheel with a running spead of 120rpm and a 50% duty cycle; and the Tormek 2006 which features a welded steel housing, a 250 x 50 mm aluminum oxide grinding wheel and a running speed of 90rpm with a 100% duty cycle. Both models utilize a guided sharpening jig system comprising of a micro-adjustable universal support that allows mounting of a multitude of specific jigs and come with a straight edged tool jig, an angle setting tool, a hardcover users manual and DVD and honing compound. In North America only the 2006 model is available (although there is a new T7 model available that at the surface appears to be a repackaging of the 2006 with additional items included.).
